ABOUT THE PROGRAM

WHAT IS BEYOND THE STAGE DOOR?

WE ARE ACCEPTING PARTICIPANTS WITH TWO FOCUSES TO CHOOSE FROM:

GENERAL / COMPANY MANAGEMENT and STAGE MANAGEMENT

Beyond the Stage Door (BTSD) is a 501c3 Non-Profit founded by the folks at General Management company Baseline Theatrical based in New York City. Beyond the Stage Door (BTSD) is a comprehensive and intensive educational program designed to educate and prepare undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds for careers in general, company and stage management. BTSD was founded as a direct response to industry discussions, led by the BIPOC theater community, about long-standing racial disparity in both commercial theater hiring practices and traditional pathways to New York theatrical management careers. Our aim is to create those pathways and open doors for students or new to the industry professionals.
