ABOUT THE PROGRAM

WHAT IS BEYOND THE STAGE DOOR?
Beyond the Stage Door (BTSD) is a 501c3 nonprofit founded by the general management team at Baseline Theatrical in 2020. Beyond the Stage Door was founded as a direct response to industry discussions about long standing barriers to entry within commercial theatre hiring practice. Beyond the Stage Door offers its participants a comprehensive educational intensive designed to empower and prepare them for careers in general, company and stage management.
WE ARE ACCEPTING PARTICIPANTS WITH TWO FOCUSES TO CHOOSE FROM:
GENERAL / COMPANY MANAGEMENT and STAGE MANAGEMENT
-
This program is open to individuals who are seriously interested in careers in stage, company, or general management within the theatre industry. We highly encourage applicants to do research into each of these career paths before applying for the program.
-
Must be seriously interested in a career in theatre management.
-
This is NOT a program for actors, designers, directors, or other creative theatre-makers. Though we welcome multi-hyphenates and understand that no individual is one dimensional, we will prioritize folks who have a clear and demonstrated interest in a career as a General Manager, Company Manager, or Stage Manager.
-
This is not a program geared toward graduate students.
-
-
Must either have recently graduated from college/university, be a matriculating college junior or senior or be a mid-career transitioning professional.
-
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
